Welcome all fellow moviegeeks...

...and we also welcome the ones that aren't...we also welcome the people who entered this blog curiously wondering who the f#*k the lords of the films are. Well...that's us. Emelie and Isabella, and today we decided to start a blog to share our obsession with the world. Sounds grand and dramatic but it was really an impulsive decision made while eating breakfeast in the garden outside my (isabellas) home in London suburb Turnpike Lane.
So who are we? What's our story?
Well, let's just say that if it wasn't for The Lord of the Rings this blog would not have been born. In fact, we probably wouldn't even be friends. You see we're quite different, Isabella being loud and opinionated with a little latinablood to boot...while blonde sweet Emelie tends to give a more calm and innocent impression. Don't let that fool you though. Just like our dear old Samwise Gamgi she is not to be messed with despite first impressions.

We met in Stockholm,Sweden, where we were both working as communicators (fancy name for the people that call you in the middle of dinner to see if you want to upgrade your internetconnection or buy a new phone...yeah we know it's horrible but hey at least we're not doing it anymore). We didn't exactly click right away since our personalities clashed a bit. In fact when I (Isabella) first sat down to talk to Emelie for the first time about something else then telephone equipment there was fear in her eyes when I plunged down in a chair next to her and cheerfully said hello. "Ok...pretty but socially retarded" Isabella thougt. "For fucks sake leave me alone" Emelie thougt.

Not the beginning of a beautiful friendship you might think. But then for some reason The Lord of the Rings came up and we suddenly looked at each other with delighted surprisement. "What!? You like Lord of the Rings?" "No. No I don't. I LOVE TheLord of the Rings."
It didn't take long before we realised that what we had in common was that we didn't just like the films like pretty much anyone else does...we were both, in an almost creepy psychotic way, absolutely obsessed with the entire world that Tolkien had created. This is not just a phase ladies and gentlemen. It's a f#*%ing lifestyle we kid you not. You can judge if you want to or you could join our little bubble of geekyness.

But don't think that this is just a blog about Lord of the Rings. This is also a blog about film. The most beautiful artform there is. And books of course. What would the world be with out books? Maybe some personal reflections here and there as well. We'll see. This is not planned, but damn we're excited.
To return to ou dramatic roots once again...Like Frodo and Sam we embark on this journey.
